The prophet Moses is one of these leaders, and a good example to talk about, because Moses’s story is well known. Their goal however was always the same, and that was to serve the people (Grudem, 2003). Some were shining examples of moral leadership…and others were not.

There were many examples of leaders in the Old Testament scriptures. There is much to be learned from the Old Testament Scriptures concerning servant leadership and its application to real situations in diverse contexts (Crowther, 2009). Servant leadership is one of the most popular leadership models around today.
